A pillar article is good blog content, it will draw readers and get new subscribers. A good idea for this type of article is to have a rating system like 1 to 10 or give it 1 to 5 stars, that way if your reviewing several different things on your blog it's easy for people to compare them and see which on you liked best or worst.

3. Definition or Term(s) Articles

You don't have to be a human dictionary for this article, in fact its good if your more personal with it. Choose definitions or terms to do with your blogs niche and define them, pretty simple. Teach your readers what it means, how you use it, when you will come across it and any other related facts to do with it. This blog idea works well if you have a blog dealing with technology or business because there are thousands of terms you can write about, meaning more posts which equals more readers.

4. List or top Ten Articles

This ones my favourite, people love reading these articles and people love writing these articles, so they usually go over well.

• If your blog is on clowns make a top ten famous clowns list
• If your blog i on web design make a top ten web design tools
• If your blog is on music you can make a top ten musians of all time

There are lots of different ways you can present this article to your readers, for example make a top 101 list or a best of 2009 list. Keep it original and have lots of examples, descriptions or links and readers will eat it up.

5. The Dispute Article

Start a dispute among your readers, don't get in a fight or start insulting people, but bring up a subject that is disputable like different kinds of laws or any kind of issue going on in your niche. Be sure to state your opinion in the article and give facts on why you think the way you do. These articles are great ideas for blogs because they bring you tons of comments. People will then state their thoughts on the subject and other people will comment on the blog comments made before them. Your basically starting a civilized fight, but one that will bring you traffic to your blog.
